RENdom Photo of the Day

Hey, it's sunset week. Let's start it off with a sunset shot from the just departed sunken ship, The Explorer taken during better times when it was still afloat.

RENdom Sinking Ship of the Day

Well, it looks like she's gone. I sort of feel sad having spent ten days on board. It was a nice little ship, not a big cruise ship like the lifeboat. The staff on board were incredibly knowledgeable and polite, and of course the Antarctic scenery is incredible. They also had a piano on board which was the only time I was able to play the keys while travelling for a year and a half. Damn, I wish someone would have saved that piano.

RENdom Sinking Ship of the Day

This is crazy. I was on this sinking ship in March of 2006 on a trip to Antarctica.
(see NY Times article and BBCnews article).......man, I hope that South American Explorers still prints the cover story I wrote about taking a last minute trip to Antarctica.
Lucy, just edit the stuff out about sailing on the "Explorer" and the article will still be good to go.

Could this have been the work of......Dónde está Che Pelotas?
