It was just a matter of time as the military junta has come down on protesters in Burma. Here's some first hand accounts from inside Burma. Apparently the military isn't firing their rifles, but beating protesters with the butt end. Of course, this doesn't get out since the media is controlled by the ruling junta. And of course the Buddhist monks aren't retaliating because of their beliefs.
