RENdom Photo of the Day
The US government has just issued new sanctions against the military junta government of Myanmar. The Burmese people and many Buddhist monks have been protesting against the doubling of oil prices with peaceful protest marches consisting of over 200,000 people. Burma is one of the most oppressed countries in the world, with the government in control of everything. It's a bit of a third world Orwellian place, where the people are kept down and kept uninformed. But many of the people I spoke to there expressed incredible hatred for the government. They told me to tell my people back home of what is happening there. Here's a site where you can help: http://www.uscampaignforburma.org/
